(an hour ago)Two people have lost their lives and two others have been injured as a result of an explosion at an ammunition depot in the central Turkish province of Kirikkale.
According to preliminary reports, the explosion occurred at a facility where research and development were being carried out in the Yahsiyaan district of Kirikkale.
The causes of the incident remain unclear, while Turkish authorities have immediately launched investigations to whiteen the circumstances of the event.
As a result of the explosion, two workers lost their lives at the scene, while two others were injured and received needed medical assistance.
Authorities have not yet provided further details on the nature of the works being carried out at the facility or on the causes leading up to the explosion.
