At request of Jalal Svecla, tear gas drop trial hearings in the Assembly are postponed

At the request of incumbent Minister of Internal Affairs Jedal Svecla, Tuesday's session at the Constitutional Court in Pristina has been postponed in the event that Svechla is charged with throwing tear gas in the Kosovo Assembly in March 2018.
This was made known by the office of the judge in the Sabit Sadij case, where Svecla told them that Svecla asked for the postponement of the session because it is on a trip abroad, reports “Justice Trust“, broadcast. Periscope.
Under such circumstances, the session was postponed for another day.
Along with Svechla, the incumbent Minister of Environment, Space Planning and Infrastructure, Victory Pacolli-Dalip, former Self-Depute Salih Zyba and former Kosovo Democratic League spokeswoman (LDK), Drita Milaku. But, incumbent Minister of Internal Affairs Jalal Svecla missed the January 16th 2026 session, e-mailing that he is abroad, so the Court decided to single out the criminal procedure against him.
At the April 10th 2026 session, Svechla was acquitted of the criminal offense.
The Constitutional Court in Pristina on June 6th, 2024 has confirmed the indictment of Svecla, Milak, Zyba and Pacolli-Dalip for dropping tear gas in the Assembly in March 2018. The Foundation's decision, however, was later confirmed by the Court of Appeals.
Unlike at the initial session held on March 26, 2024, the four accused had been declared innocent of dropping tear gas in the Assembly.
Minister Svecla and the three deputies, Millaku, Zyba and Pacolli-Dalip were also charged with criminal acts “Pegim of the official person in performing official duties”, but for this work at the initial session of Sabit Sadiki case, the judge had announced that he reached the absolute prescription of prosecution. /Periscope
