Manchester City strongly condemns racist abuses of Semenyo and Guehi

Manchester City has reacted officially after incidents occurred last night, severely condemning racist abuses against players.
In a public statement, the English club expressed its support for Antoine Semenyo, who was subjected to racist abuses during the last match. “Manchester City strongly condemns racist abuse directed at Antoine Semenyo in yesterday's” match, said the club's response.
“We welcome the quick action taken by Everton and police to identify the responsible individual”, the statement follows, assessing the authorities' response to the case.
The club also disclosed that defender Marc Guehi has also been the victim of a series of racist posts on social networks. “We are extremely disappointed when we hear that Marc Guéhi was subjected to the disgusting racist postings in social media”, notes Manchester City.
In conclusion, the club's leaders reaffirmed their firm stand against any form of discrimination. “We will continue to offer our full support to Antoine and Marc and we will never accept discrimination of any kind in our game. ”
