Argentina Finds World Pre-Call List, Star Remains Out

Argentina coach Lionel Scalon has prepared the first list of players called in advance for the next phase of gatherings and preparations towards the 2026 World.
There are some surprise names on the list, and some significant shortages, writes Express, broadcast Periscope.
One of the most interesting names is Nico Paz, the new talent that continues to gain space in the Argentinian representative's project and is seen as part of the new generation.
At the same time, there are some players on the list that are activated in Serie A, who in Italy are considered the <x0->itarians” of Argentina because of the championship they play.
These include names such as Lautaro Martínez, Nicolaás González, and other players active in Italian clubs.
On the other hand, the biggest and most controversial lack is that of Paulo Dubalas, who is not involved in this phase of the pre-calling list.
Scalon's decision shows its continuation in mixing experience with new talents, giving priority to the long-term players and projects of the national team.
The list is not final, as there are expected to be filters and other changes before official matches and the final World gathering.
