“300 to 400,000 ticket requests” April Ademi message to the state: Stadium is a national emergency

Kosovo's national experienced one of the strongest emotional moments in its history, staying very close to an achievement that would forever change the course of Kosovo football. After the dramatic match and great disappointment, Kosovo Football Federation Chairman Agim Ademi has reflected on what happened, praising the sacrifice [...]
He's been talking about the pain of the moment, the reality of expectations, the next targets and the urgent needs of football in the country.
Turning attention to the hours after the match, Ademi described the team's emotional state as severe, stressing that despite disappointment, the team had done its best in the field. He praised the players' engagement, technical staff work, and especially the extraordinary support of fans from all lands who, according to him, gave the team additional energy in such a crucial match.
Our 24 hour after the match has not been the best time, because we really are convinced and we are not euphoric in this case, we haven't even been, but we have a day that's a hard fight. We gave it as much as we could, we gave 100% I think and I'm very happy and very pleased with their work that they did together with the coach and all the staff that it was. I thank all the people who have come all over, from all our lands, from every country that has supported us and certainly our Dardanians, who have been an important part or I can freely say the extra energy of our national”, Ademi initially stressed.
Speaking of expectations and goals that weren't realized, first of all. The WFK admitted that the dream was very close, but it lacked luck at crucial moments. He underlined that Kosovo should remain realistic, remembering the relatively short journey in the international arena since accession to larger football organisations. According to him, despite disappointment, the achievements so far are evidence of great progress and a solid basis for aiming at future qualifications, including the European Championship.
That was our dream and of course we'll continue. We weren't lucky last night. We will continue, we prepare immediately from today for the rest of the game we have, which means we have European already coming. Of course, expectations have been huge, but it has to be realistic, we have to get to know ourselves and on a day who you are, and as long as we've achieved, we've started this activity, no matter what we have football history but we don't know the football story, I've been talking about the time since 2016 when we've been admitted. And of course for so many years it's not random that we've been called by FIFA itself success stories and by U. EFA because of where we've been and where we've arrived, but it hurts because we've come to where we've only missed a few, half a step to go. It's more for the team, more for the population, and in the case that we've had to be in America, it would have been an extremely good message for the state, not only for football”, the first NK added further.
Next, Ademi stopped by motivation and confidence in the future, naming the team to be the pride of the people. He highlighted the symbolic importance of state estimates taken, considering them to be evidence of the strong link between national and citizens. According to him, this support is a major push to continue and target concrete results in future competitions, with a clear belief that Kosovo could be part of European 2028.
My message to them is to continue because it's really the pride of this people, which is evidenced today because we got the state presidential medal that is not the medal of the World Cup, but is the medal with which we won the hearts of the people. This is worth a lot to us. We appreciate this medal for the fact that it comes in the name of the state, in the name of all the people, and of course this push is a satisphasation for us to continue. I believe that very soon, or in future competitions, given the talent and support of these boys, we will certainly have results. I'm not promising, but very much I hope and I believe that if we are so compact and with this team, we will be in the next European 2028”, Ademi said.
Another issue that Ademi raised with particular emphasis was infrastructure, naming the construction of a new stadium as national emergency. He stressed the extraordinary interest of fans for matches, where ticket applications have exceeded the current capacity multiple, leaving thousands of fans outside the stadium. According to him, a new facility is necessary to meet standards and give space to massive support enjoyed by the nation.
There's only one thing we need at all costs and at a speed, as they say, of eye light, is a national stadium or stadium, which they're going to call, which meets the criteria and conditions, because we're very narrowed by our population, by our fans that we're not able to settle in the “Fadil Vokrri” Stadium. Believe me, there were more than 300 and a thousand, about 400,000 requests on the platform for a ticket. When you know they take off some of the tickets that are for evacuation, some belonging to the opponent, we stay somewhere with less than 10,000 tickets for sale”, Ademi said.
In the end, Ademi confirmed the continuation of coach Franco Foda at the top of the team, naming him part of a long-term project. He stressed that football in Kosovo is being built on a clear and professional vision, where the German coach has an important role. According to him, Foda's commitment to the project and its connection to the country, and people are guarantees for the team's continuation and stability on its journey to future successes.
“E said himself he, of course the Foda will continue for the fact that we have a project. We don't only have football as a game, but someone thinks it's a game, but we have a project in football because he thinks he has everything, has science, has math, he has everything if we look at football as well as he's made. So Franco Foda is part of this project from the beginning together, and we are certainly continuing the project. Since there were offers earlier and has not been, he declared it today. In addition to having a project, it will stay in Kosovo, will continue in Kosovo because it likes the country and likes people”, Ademi said at the end. /kosovapress/
