The European Union's special envoy for dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, Peter Sorensen, will meet with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti on Saturday morning, two days before the Law for Foreigners and for Automotives begins to be fully implemented. Kurti's office announced that the prime minister will host him in the capital. [...]
Kurti's office announced that the prime minister will host Sorensenin capital for a meeting at 8:30.
In a brief report, she did not elaborate on Soren's visit, nor on what will be discussed at the meeting.
But, Radio Free Europe unofficially teaches that the reason for tomorrow's visit is the implementation of these laws.
The laws began to apply on January 16th, but only as an information campaign for procedures and regulations to implement these laws.
Their phase, that of full implementation of laws, is scheduled to begin Monday on March 16th.
Under these laws, all those who do not have Kosovo documents will have to be equipped with residence permits, while vehicles with foreign license plates will not be able to circulate in Kosovo longer than three months or only under authorisation.
