Unstopped clouds cause rise in Kosovo rivers, risks of local flooding in some areas

Kosovo's Hydromethorological Institute has reported that unprecedented rainfall during the February 14th day and last night has triggered increased levels of several rivers in the country.

According to the latest data:

The Lepenc River at the hydrometeorological site in Hani of Elez has reached a level of 2,93m.

The Morava River of Binca in the year has reached 1.33m.

The Nerodimes River in Kacanik has marked 0.22m.

The institute warns that this situation could cause local flooding in areas around the rivers mentioned. Other rivers in the country are currently in normal flow and pose no threat to flooding.

The amount of recorded rainfall was: Brezovica: 24.8 mm, Hani of Elez: 36.8 mm.

The institute calls for citizens and local authorities to be cautious and to follow further reports of the hydrological situation./Periscopi/
