Kosovo's Hydromethorological Institute has reported that unprecedented rainfall during yesterday and last night has triggered rising levels of several rivers in the country.
“As a result of unbroken rainfall, especially after the day of the 14/02/2026 and throughout the night, they have influenced the rise of levels on several rivers, specifically in the Lepenc and Morava Binca basin. This situation could cause local flooding. Currently, the Lepentz River in the hydrometeic site of Hani Elez is on the rise (2.93 m). The Morava Binca River in the hydrometric plant of the year is also on the rise (1.33m). Even the Nerodimes River in Kacanik is on the rise (15.02,2026 08h .0.82 m)”, the institute said in a statement.
The IHKMK said the country's other <x0mns are in their normal courses and currently do not pose a threat to floods/ floods”.
