US President Donald Trump has removed a video on social networks that included a racist clip describing Barack and Michelle Obama as apes.
The clip-related song The Leon Sleeps Tonight was at the end of a 62-second video he shared, containing claims of voter fraud in the 2020 presidential elections, reports the BBC, broadcast Klankosova.tv.
Republican Senator Tim Scott had called on the president to remove the post, describing it as the most racist “thing I've seen from this White House”.
The White House first defended the clip as a “video with the internet”.
