Star for the new government: Ministers Added Without Need

Political analyst Visar Ymer has commented on forming the new government, emphasising on expanding the cabinet and not complying with Prime Minister Albin Kurti's election promises.

According to Ymer, the first striking thing is the large number of government members.

He stressed that this is not related to the need for greater dictatorship supervision, but to Kurti's earlier attitudes for a smaller number of ministries, which were related to two key aspects: increasing government efficiency and reducing opportunities for corruption.

“Vetevendosje is initiated by the principle that citizens need more social services, so more things the government offers directly, but that does not mean increasing the number of ministers and paying more salaries,” said Ymer in “VV show”

He explained that the new government consists of a total of 21 members, including the prime minister, and only one is without portfolio, namely Fitim Damka, while all other ministers have specific resources.

Yet, Ymer also estimated that some positive reorganisations have been made in the government structure.

“I think some good reorganizations have been made,” he concluded.
