Research-saving operation on the top of Hayla, a beekeeper allegedly slipped

Since late hours last evening, Kosovo's Mountain Peace Research Service (SHKSHMK) reports that, in co-operation with Montenegro's Mountain Rescue Service and competent Montenegrin authorities, it is conducting a search-finding operation on the summit of Hayla, along the border ridge between the Republic of Kosovo and Montenegro.

According to initial information from the ground, “a brunette with C.F. allegedly slipped from the ridge, losing contact with other members of the group”, the report said.

The unfavourable weather conditions, accompanied by snowfall and limited visibility, are making the operation difficult, the announcement follows.

“The search-saving teams from both states are co-ordinated in the cross-border operation, with the aim of tracking and providing aid to the reported person”, the report said./Periscopi/
