Retrial Dushko Arsic sentenced to 13 years in Kosovo war crimes

The Act against Assirqi was proclaimed Monday by Judge Vesel Ismaili, and members Lutfi Shala and Violet Namani-Hajra, reports “Justice bet“, broadcast Periscope.
Judge Ismaili said that in the prison sentence, the accused is counting the time spent in custody. Assics continues this measure to the extent of the integrity of the act, but no more than the sentence pronounced.
The accused is also tasked with spending the procedure -- for the 200-euro and 100-euro judicial patrol for the Crime Victims Compensation Fund, all in the 15-day term by the integrity of the act.
The injured Artan Krasniqi is instructed in regular Judiko-civil conflict for the property-juridic demand.
The Constitutional Court in Pristina on February 2nd, 2024 has sentenced the accused to 13 years in prison. But the Court of Appeals turned the case into retrial.
According to the indictment filed by the Special Prosecutor on November 2nd, 2022, there is reportedly suspicion that Arsic is based on co-ordination with other members of the Serbian Police and paramilitary groups, in the January-June 1999 months, has participated in the expulsion and deportation of citizens from Pristina and the suburbs. The Act charges Arsenqi that, along with the other group, they have begun to rob homes, as well as later with the aim of damaging Albanian property, they have set fire to it.
The Act is responsible for both the mistreatment of Albanian civilians, injuries, and murder.
Assinq was accused of having participated in the execution of now late B.S., so that on April 20, 1999, in the village of Bovovac of the Pristina municipality, at the site called “Macedonian”varres, while the victim had been walking, they shot him with automatic rifles and, after hitting him, ordered the injured A.K., who was then 15-year-old, that victim B. The S., to carry it on his back even though the injured one had suffered considerable physical injuries because the accused had previously been physically and psychologically abused, actions sanctioned according to local laws, customs of war and the Geneva International Convention and additional protocols.
With this, Assreq was accused of committing criminal work “war crimes against the civilian population” by Article 142 concerning Article 22 of RSFJ criminal law.
