“Liria has name” visits Rex Selimi's family: Solidarity and Calls for Liberation Releasers

Representatives of the civic platform “Freedom has a name”, Eliza Hoxha, Ismail Tasholli and Ridvan Emini, visited the family of Rexhep Selimi today, who is being tried in The Hague in the final phase of the process.

The announcement suggests that they were hosted by his wife, Shqipe Selimi, accompanied by the boy and daughter, with whom they held a solidifying meeting at this crucial moment for the family and for the country.

During the visit, representatives of the platform have expressed full support for the Selimi family and reiterated their belief that the Kosovo people's struggle for freedom was fair and clean.

They also announced Selimi for civic mobilization and for the “Justice march, not the political”, which will be held on February 17th in Pristina, as an expression of popular support for rescuers facing the process in The Hague.

We stand by the Selimi family with full conviction that justice will prevail and that our deliverers will return home as soon as they can, Hoxha has said.

February 17th March is a common civic voice for justice and dignity. We expect the release of our rescuers and their return to families and people,” Tasholli said.

Through the media communiqué, it becomes known that Albanian Selimi has thanked the platform “Liberty has the name” for the commitment and solidarity shown in this final phase of the process, expressing support for the February 17th march.
