Kurt sends Bissim to “end of the well”, entrusts the task to the former deputy prime minister

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has decided to change the role of one of his closest associates, Besnik Bislim, authorising him for a more administrative position under the prime minister's office.

According to the official document provided by Democracy.com, Bislimi will head the Office for Experts, Implementation and Strategic Supervisor, a facility operating under the direction of the prime minister.

His mandate in this position will reportedly last as long as the prime minister's mandate lasts, while Bislim is obliged to declare his assets under legislation in force.

Mr. Faithful Bislimi, lead with the Bureau for Experts, Implementation, and Strategic Supervision. This decision goes into effect on the day of signing”, it says in this decision.

The document, signed by Kurti on February 2026, also obliges the prime minister's office to implement this decision, which goes into force immediately after the signing.

The decision has also been sent to Bislimi himself, the Secretary General of the ZKM and the Government Archive.

Bislimi served as minister of finance and transfers during Albin Kurti's first government in 2020, where he supervised the country's budget, public finances and fiscal policies.

From 2021 to now, Bislim has been Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister responsible for European integration, economic development and co-ordination of dialogue with Serbia. He has also led strategic government projects and represented Kosovo in international meetings for economic and political issues.
