Vitali Klitschko said it was vital that the United States be at the side of Ukraine and support the country's interests in a new round of peace talks with Russia.

Negotiations on a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine, prompted by the US, have been slow despite repeated promises by the Trump administration that an agreement could be reached soon.
The last round of talks, which ended earlier this week, ended without any progress, though expectations for discussions had been low.
Tuesday will mark the fourth anniversary of its Russian neighbour's full-scale invasion. Fighting has continued in the context of peace talks, and Moscow currently controls about a fifth of Ukrainian territory after years with only small profits on front lines. /Periscope
