Albania's Constitutional Court has announced the verdict on the matter of Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluk.
This court could not meet the number of votes needed to decide on the prime minister's complaint. Thus, the division of votes 4 to 4 means the drop in complaint because no decision-making majority is reached, and Belinda Balluk is suspended from office, writes A2.
JCKKO, at the request of SPAK, suspended Deputy Prime Minister Balluk from office, but Prime Minister Edi Rama named it a violation of his competencies. Rama led to the Constitutional Court the Balluk case, with the argument that the JKKO has violated the border of another power -- the executive one taking over his competencies as prime minister for suspending or firing a government member, A2 reports.
