“Since Easter morning, we can say that the Russian Army is trying to create general impressions of a ceasefire, but in some countries, it does not abandon individual efforts to advance and cause losses in Ukraine”, Zelensky wrote on the social X network.
Despite Putin's statements of ceasefire at the time of the Easter holiday, Zelensky has said Ukrainian forces had recorded 59 cases of Russian bombings and five attacks by units in different areas along the front line, as well as dozens of drone attacks.
He has stressed that Russia must fully adhere to the terms of the ceasefire and has reiterated Ukraine's bid to extend the ceasefire for another 30 days, starting in Sunday's midnight.
The Russian president has announced on Saturday the <x0th) Easter truce” in the war in Ukraine, starting from Saturday evening until midnight Sunday.
Putin offered no details about how the ceasefire would be monitored or whether it would cover air strikes or continuing land battles.
His ceasefire announcement was made at the time when the president of the United States, Donald Trump, has warned Russia and Ukraine that if there is no rapid progress in the peace agreement, then the US will abandon the negotiation process “within days”. /Periscope.
