Kosovo's government has no high expectations that next week punitive measures from the European Union will be removed, because, as EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell's unprincipled approach, say. The executive states that the European top diplomat has had unfair access to Kosovo, even qualifying it as inefficient and the possibility that recent developments in the north will be included in Borell's report regarding dinar and expropriation.
According to them, Kosovo has reason to worry even if the measures are not lifted, but it has to wait for new structures in the EU to see what developments will be. EU punitive measures towards Kosovo are also seen by connoisseurs and European integrations.
Foreign Affairs and Diaspore Minister Donika Grovalla told Kosova Preis, that Kosovo has met all EU deceptability requirements in the north, so before institutions are replaced by EU elections must be removed from punitive measures against the country.
“I hope they finally take the right step before these institutions can be replaced by others that come out of the vote we expect soon. However, with what we have seen so far, as has been Kosovo's unjust treatment in relation to Serbia's violations in the process, it is not that I have great expectations ... No principler has been Borell's generally attitude towards topics between Kosovo and Serbia and it is not that I have high expectations in the last steps that can and should be undertaken. Those measures have been the subject of a negotiating of Deputy Prime Minister Bismoni with Lajcak in Bratislav, not only have those five points that have been understood, but they are over-fulfilled, so I don't know what to say. It's unpredictable to me. As far as I'm concerned, they can also introduce all other topics that have nothing to do with Serbia, in the context of these measures, but it's not that it has followed any effect... well, we will be left to look at future developments. I think, how Kosovo has no reason to be hasty, nor to be concerned, we will wait for future structures, see which persons will be responsible and see further what development will be. We have good time to continue with important steps within our country, with implementation of important measures further taking reforms within Kosovo and these reforms that we have promised and implemented will produce their results”, Gervala says.
