While the 54th witness at the Special Court on Monday had started testimony at the closed session against former Kosovo Liberation Army leaders.
The chairman of the court has said that the reason for closing the hearing in the witness's case with the “code, 4739”, is due to witness protection.
Before the hearing begins, the court has accepted material evidence, several statements of witnesses through audio recordings.
From the Special on Friday to Albanian Post it has been said that during this week there will be two witnesses and that one will be in public session.
On April 18th, Kosovo Specialised Chambers (DHSK) in The Hague in the Netherlands have continued the detention measure of former Kosovo Liberation Army superiors (UÇK) Hashim Thaci and Kadri Veselin é while the court proved there is danger of obstructing the judicial process.
Former Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, former Prime Ministers édri Veselin of Jakup Krasniqi and former Kosovo President Rexhep Selimi, are charged with murder, torture and cruel treatment at about 40 detention centres in the period between 1998 (1999).
The trial against former KLA leaders began on April 3, 2023, after more than two years by confirming the indictment.
