King Carl III has returned public duties after a period of cancer treatment and recovery.
The royal palace announced that the 75-year-old monarch, along with his wife, Queen Camilla, visited a cancer treatment centre, where they met with medical professionals and patients.
This is King Carl III's first engagement, while the royal palace has announced that it will be Japanese Emperor Naruhio and Empress Masako for official visit in June.
The palace hopes the King's visit will draw attention to the importance of early diagnosis, as well as new innovative treatments and research being conducted at the hospital, which is supported by Cancer Research UK.
The king announced that he had cancer in early February.
