Security Affairs Director Nuredin Ibishi does not rule out the possibility of attacks similar to that of September 24th in Banjska, but a battle with invasion of territories considers it impossible.
Ibishi for Online Economy, has stated that this fact is based on the great presence of international armed forces.
Ibishi has said Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, is following the path of Russian President Putin, creating tensions in Kosovo.
“I do not rule out the possibility of similar cases, to say a hybrid attack or what Putin once did and now are doing, is trying to do in Kosovo, such as the September 24th terrorist act. A war to say, or an invasion in Kosovo in the sense of occupying Kosovo's territory, or Kosovo I think is not possible because of the presence of the international armed forces that are KFOR, but also the substantial part of NATO that is building capacities in Kosovo. But even the Kosovo security sector itself, the Kosovo Police and KSF”, Ibishi has said.
Ibishi has appealed more caution in defining statements by state officials concerning the security situation in the country. He has added that Kosovo can face hybrid attacks in view of tensions that are trying to boost Serbia in our country.
“I think our leadership should be more careful in terms of definitions or statements specified by which they are thus citing attention to the media as well. Though it is not precisely known whether it is the mistake of the Ukrainian media, the journalist who published that article in that definition as war or conflict, or an attack, as if to say relatively relatually. Whatever the case, there must be caution because this is promoting a reaction - quite another comment compared with what might happen. The attacks, hybrid war or saying attacks in the past in Kosovo as if it were the case of September 24th, are still potentially possible, but not even an open or conventional war in a sense, even though two states or even regional, because all measures have been taken that will not happen. The reality is that Serbia is promoting tensions, even effectively attacks as if it were the case of September 24th”, he has said.
