U.S. Ambassador Jeff Hovenier today will hold a press address by 1500.
The conference will be held before the US Embassy in Pristina.
Hüvenier has said the US demands that Kosovo postpone the Kosovo Central Bank decision that excludes the dinar from use and that there is sufficient communication for citizens affected by the decision.
A stern warning on the issue came from US Assistant Secretary of State James O'Brien, who urged the Government of Kosovo to withdraw from the dinar decision and said they may not view this government as a partner.
“He [Prime Minister Kurti] understood the concerns, promised he would work for them, but clearly decided the decision's approval. If he does not treat us as a partner, it raises questions about whether we can view this government as partner”, he said.
The US official had said about Voice of America that he had some contacts with Prime Minister Kurti before announcing the decision and just a brief exchange after his proclamation.
