Teacher: We are forced to keep two jobs to cope with monthly expenses

Since the finance ministry has not yet returned their requests filed through the SBASK, part of them have started doing two jobs.

For the Kiks Kosova show, educator Africa Gashi told of the frustrations he has related to wages.

Gashi, who is a teacher at the “Dardania” elementary school in Pristina, added that there is nothing organised at the school where he works in connection with the silent strike, but that he is dissatisfied with the wage coefy and lack the motive at work because of it.

According to children's teachers, this is happening because of the non-addicted treatment of teachers from the state, since, according to him, the current salary is not meeting the needs of four-member families.

He said many of the teachers are looking for secondary jobs in order to afford monthly expenses.
