Rama: Albania stands next to Kosovo if weapons are to be used

Albania's prime minister, Edi Rama, has said the mother country will stay in the defence of Kosovo if diplomatic options are exhausted and weapons begin to be used.

Rama in an interview for ATV has said he prays that the arms use option will not come in the expression, but that, according to him, if it definitely happens that Albania will stay with Kosovo.

Asked if Kosovo is attacked how Albania will react, Rama has responded, that Kosovo is not alone.

“Albania is a NATO member and is not a geographical entity that has special ties to Kosovo, and any attack on Kosovo is an attack on Albania, but on the other hand Kosovo is not alone and has strategic allies without whom Kosovo cannot exist as a state. Therefore, we must think of the burden of Kosovo allies”, Rama has declared further.
