The Special Prosecutor has announced that Kosovo Police, respectively, the Directorate for Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption, has taken action in the Prizren area for car control.
Two cars, BMW X5 and Shkoda, with four (4) persons have been banned during this action because of the suspicion that the people in these cars distribute counterfeit money.
“While checking in BMW X5 car, the amount of money suspected of counterfeiting in the amount of twenty-four thousand and six hundred (24,600.oo).
The Special Prosecutor reports that in this case twenty-four thousand and six hundred have been seized in euros (24,600.oo), two (2) vehicles used by suspected persons, as well as nine (9) mobile phones”, the Special Prosecutor's announcement says.
Also, suspects have been interviewed in the presence of defence lawyers appointed on official duty, as well as the same are citizens of the Republic of Albania.
Under the prosecution's decree, the suspected persons are sent to the detention for 48 hours.
