Osmani: Serbia's military presence ended in 1999 when the spirit of freedom invaded Kosovo's sky

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, in her address at the solemn session in Kosovo's Parliament for Independence, has said February 17th is the unique historic date.

Osman claimed that the martyrs and martyrs of freedom whose blood is the strongest foundation of our country.

She stressed that Serbia's presence in Kosovo has ended once and for all in June 1999.

“Let it be clear, Serbia's military and police presence in Kosovo has ended once and for all in June 1999 when Kosovo's spirit of freedom took over”.

“Recall all martyrs and martyrs of freedom whose blood is the strongest base of our state, this is Kosovo that never bowed back”, Osmani said in her address.

It is a great honor for me that on this 16th birthday of our Republic, to be addressed by the speaker of the Temple of Democracy of the Kosovo Assembly, and to congratulate the citizens of the Republic who are proud and joyful to celebrate the growth of our beloved Kosovo. February 17 is our greatest historical achievement is the reflection of our ideals, of generations of centuries”.

She stressed that the state of Kosovo is being consolidated every day by honoring citizens and their name.

The sovereign “Kosovo is evidence that it can be achieved when the invincible will of citizens unites around a common purpose, we are already free people among free peoples today, we humble ourselves before generations who dedicated to freedom, let us remember today that we will unite our spirit in memory of the founding fathers, women and sons and daughters of this land who sacrificed everything, who did not give in despite that history dealt treacherously with them.
