Prime Minister Albin Kurti has congratulated the 16th anniversary of Kosovo's Independence with a video that briefly covers Kosovo's history.

“welve the 16th anniversary of Independence, our Kosovo! ”, Kurti wrote on the eve of Independence Day.

The video begins with legendary Commander Adem Jashari and continues with some of the key moments leading to Kosovo's independence. Serb violence, student protests, KLA war, shelling NATO and images from the museum house for former President Ibrahim Rugova. Some of Kosovo's successes, following independence in music and sports, also appeared in the video, as it ends with visa liberalisation.
