Known as AGC, the world's leading glass producer, Asahi Glass Company rarely chooses Kosovo as host to the Balkan summit. The company's European headquarters is located in Belgium and is known for important global projects involving its mosque, which extend from New York to Tokyo. Mr. Ivan Zaykov, manager for Balkan markets at AGC Flat Glass in Europe, emphasises the summit as one of the most important and most valuable meetings for the factory regarding relations with customers.

He stresses that Kosovo is traditionally not considered a stable country for such high-level meetings. Taking into account the impressive $12 billion sales of AGC on the market, the importance of the event is paramount, encouraging the participation of all actors in the construction business. Mr. Zaykov stresses that the election of the host country plays an important role in the success of the meeting. Knowing this achievement, Mr. Zaykov attributes success to effective co-operation between AGC and their GITOR LLC partner in Kosovo. He accepts the unforeseen market results of the past two years, praising the achievement of joint efforts with Bled, a visionary entrepreneur and a very skilled businessman, as well as his sister Bladona.

Mr. Zaykov points out, “I often engage in discussions with Bled, recognising him as a scary businessman in the most positive sense of the term and a visionary entrepreneur,” while adding knowledge to the Kosovo-based company owner. Mr. Zaykov says the next meeting aims to overcome the event a year ago by introducing the latest global technology in construction, especially at the mosque. The focus will be on discussing green European and global policies, featuring presentations on building passive homes and cities with positive energy.

Predicting over 200 special guests from Albania, Northern Macedonia, Bulgaria, Serbia and Montenegro, Mr. Zaykov mentions different profiles, including businessmen, glass processing, architects, engineers, state representatives and AGC management staff in Europe.

He expresses his personal commitment to the organization by assuming responsibility for sending invitations to all guests. Mr. Zaykov is confident that the summit will be held in May, while there are no specific details about time and date. Further information will be communicated by the GITOR KPS representative, providing all necessary details, he concludes.
