Soldiers of the KFOR Regional Command have completed a joint training with the Kosovo Police today.
The training was for evacuation that operates in situations of crowd control, on freedom of movement and operations to ensure sensitive targets, all aimed at preserving a high level of readiness in synergy with Allies.
“in particular, the exercise without Italian batallion assets “Kinetic” of the Western Regional Command deployed in the Suhareka municipality, simulating a QRF intervention (Fast Response Force) with the aim of evacuation of a Swiss LMT (The Interlocking Monitoring Team). The activities have also been held with the help of the Kosovo Police”, said KFOR's announcement.
“KFOR continues to implement its mandate based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement at any time and impartially. KFOR is the third security reacter, behind the Kosovo Police and the EU Mission for Rule of Law (EULEX), with which we work in close co-ordination, respectively. ”
