In judging Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselini, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi, in Kosovo Specialised Chambers ( DPSK, the 24th witness (with code 4255), has confirmed that Thaci has worked side by side after the war with him and LDK members for the benefit of Kosovo.
That's what he said by answering Thaci's defense lawyer, Gregory Kehoe.
Initially, the hearing has been private, and questions regarding post-war activities were asked by attorney Kehoe at the public hearing.
The witness has only confirmed what attorney Kehoe said and that in 2001-2004 Thaci as chairman The PDK joined Ibrahim Rugova dealt with the LDK leader at the time and withdrew, leaving Bajram Rexhepi to become prime minister.
That Thaci was the one supporting Rugova to become president and that in 2004-2007 he was opposition to the PDK if he agreed to join Rugova's team to make negotiations on Kosovo's status while Rugova was alive, and that later this group was led by another LDK leader, Fatmir Sejdiu, and that it worked with him even though he was in opposition.
In addition, that in 2007-2010 Thaci has won parliamentary elections and has become prime minister, but has invited The LDK to join the coalition to form the government and that Fatmir Sejdiu has become the president of Kosovo.
The following was said that in 2014-2017 he won Thaci's election and brought the LDK as part of the qualifying and that he granted Prime Minister Isa Mustafafa's position, while becoming Mustafa's deputy and that in 2016, when Thaci was elected president, the LDK voted in his favour.
In the end, the witness confirmed that the entire period of Thaci has worked side by side with him and LDK members for the benefit of Kosovo.
The hearing continued with an investigation of the witness from Wessel's defense, specifically by attorney Ben Emmerson.
He read a piece of the witness's statement to the SPS when he was asked that, in the 1998-1999 period, he knew Kadri Veselini, had replied that he knew no one and that in question of whether he had ever heard about it, he had responded, never.
According to the witness, these answers are correct and true.
However, the moment the lawyer wanted to ask questions based on a map involving the witness area, with the recommendation of special prosecutor James Pace, the session was passed to private session in order to protect the witness.
