Serbs confined to northern facility supplied with food

The workers of the Serb community who work illegally as parallel structures in the municipal facility in Bosniaks' neighbourhood are being supplied with food from abroad.

Some youths have been caught putting food inside the facility on the very day the deadline for release ends.

The order to free the facility has been issued by the North Mitrovica municipality.

Regarding the municipality's order, Kosovo Police spokesman for the northern region Veton Elshani has indicated that so far they have not accepted any requests for the release of the facility.

Until now we have no request for assistance, however we are prepared that if the assistance is required we offer the same, we have no problem, because we have also created experience in the northern part of Kosovo for intervention, but there has been no such request”, Elshani said.

But, according to Elshan, the moment the police require assistance, they will be willing to offer it.
