More than 3 million and 350,000 services were provided last year by the Family Medicine Centers in Pristina, while this figure has increased by 10 percent this year.

So said Izet Sadiku, the Director of Health Economics in the Pristina municipality.

According to him, the health challenge in the capital remains the low number of medical staff, as the number of residents is not accurate. According to data from the last census, Pristina numbers 190 thousand people, which for Sadik is twice the figure.

In addition, Sadiku has declared that another 200 thousand non-resident citizens receive services in Pristina.

Last year alone, we had 3 million and 350 thousand services, with 1 million and 100,000 visits, this year we have 10 percent more in the first quarter compared with the last quarter. You know that it is discriminated against in the negative direction Pristina, because the small number of doctors and nurses, because the number of doctors and nurses per head for 2000 residents is divided according to the number of citizens. Pristina, according to the latest census, has 190 thousand residents, does anyone in Pristina live to 190 thousand, I believe this number is doubled. And if we have to provide services to another 200 thousand who are non-resident, live and operate in Pristina, they get services in Pristina and go to town for the weekend. We owe that with all these services”, Sadiku said.

The director of Health in Pristina has said that domestic health service has had a record of services per day.

He has said that this service has four medical teams in five days of the week and two weekend teams that provide service from 12 hours a day to 7 days of the week.

“We have an appointment to strengthen services, one of those that I pride myself on is domestic health service. We found this service when we arrived somewhere that was five days of the week, eight hours, between 7 and 1500, working from Monday through Friday, Saturday-day no service. Since March 1 last year we've spent 12 hours every seven days of the week today, there's been a record of day services last month. We've had about 60-70 services a day, last month gave him 200 services a day, which dropped by about six thousand services a month, over six thousand service”, Sadiku said. And the large number of visits to the QKUK emergency is one of the main reasons Pristina needs the hospital. It says that out of 92 thousand visits conducted by the KKUK emergency, 38 thousand have been from Pristina. “I'm giving a record, last year's statistics, the University Clinical Center has had 92 thousand visits, of which 38 thousand have been from Pristina. You know how many of Prizren or Peja have been, one has had 1,000 and 2030 patients and another 750x3>, Sadiku said, while expressing optimism that the hospital will start this year.

This is one of the reasons we're in the final phase of starting the Pristina Hospital, we've divided the land, we've divided the budget, we've been waiting for a plan that is making a German company, we believe somewhere by the end of October has been handed over and we immediately opened tenders for the construction of the city's hospital. The city hospital will have 196 beds, it will be a hospital with European standards, when 40 per cent of the services will be extra-spy. We're going to increase expert ambulances that, after enabling the chronically ill patient to go to regular checkups, not go to hospital because he then uploads the” hospital, Sadiku said.

Finally, Sadiku has said that one of the priorities of municipal governance is the construction of the Pristina Hospital.
