Former President Hashim Thaci continues position in Kosovo

Former Kosovo President Hashim Thaci is continuing to stay in Kosovo after he was allowed by the Specialised Chambers to visit his father, in heavy health condition. This is the second time since this year, for the same reasons, the Special has allowed former President Thaci to come to Kosovo, not [...]
The Hague rarely appears on the information board of flights to Pristina International Airport.
This is because there is no direct airline between these two cities and each flight is especially developed.
One such happened Saturday, when former President Hashim Thaci was brought to Kosovo.
Thaci's father's plight convinced the Specialised Chambers to allow him a humanitarian visit to his homeland.
The news was confirmed by the Special through a communiqué to the public.
Thaci has stayed about two hours at his home in the village of Buroja on Saturday, while I will spend most of my time at EULEX objects.
During its stay in Kosovo, lawyer Ardian Bajraktari estimates that those accused of the Special would have to offer more freedom.
“have expressed full willingness to confront the charges as well as to co-operate with relevant bodies that develop procedures. So, of course, this would have to be taken into consideration by the panel and therefore have more of such tolerations”, Ardian Bajraktari lawyer said.
The over two-year stay in custody has led former KLA leaders to have frequent requests for humanitarian-right visits to Kosovo.
But not all were approved.
Because the rules I referred to did not define clear criteria, then of course that providing this opportunity in the panel's discretion, perhaps sometimes even when the request was rejected and subsequently placed in uneven position the persons who are in the Paraburg Centre”, added Ardian Bajraktari lawyer.
One case of the failure of the visit for humanitarian reasons, Nasim Haradinaj experienced it several months ago.
He could not attend his brother's funeral, for the Special considered that he was late in accepting the request.
E The special recently denied even a request to former Prime Minister Jakup Krasniqi for a two-week release from custody.
Krasniqi had sought to be released at the time of the annual holiday of the Specialised Chambers. /rtvukugini
