The report, based on data from Germany's Federal Statistics Office for the period from 2010 to 2022, offers a frightening <x0panama” on the rise in the number of Kosovo-based citizens living in Germany and their immigration reasons.
The report stresses that the number of citizens of origin from Kosovo to Germany has almost doubled in 2010-22.
291,000 was the number of Kosovo-born citizens living in Germany in 2010. Only 12 years later, this figure has reached 542 thousand. This represents a sharp increase of 86 percent over just over a decade.
As for gender division, report data shows that men are more numerous than women. Of the 542 thousand, 289 thousand (53 percent) are men, while 254 thousand (47 percent) are women.
The report stresses that more than most of them were born in Kosovo. This trend has been on the rise since 2010, but has been highlighted even more from 2021 to 2022.
Regarding the age group, the report notes that 2022 data show that most immigrants from Kosovo belong to the age group 25 to 45. Much of it is even under the age of 15.
