In addition, he has said that the value of exports in 2022 has increased by 447m euros or doubled by 2020.
For this year's January-July period, the value of exports has been 468m euros, which is roughly what total export value was in 2020 (474m euros). By the end of 2023, it is expected that export value for the first time will amount to 1 billion euros. As a result, the export-import report has narrowed from nearly 1 to 9 as far as it was in 2019, to less than 1 to 6 as it currently is. While, for the first time, in the second quarter of this year our country's economy has exceeded more than 400,000 active jobs”, the prime minister said.
According to him, during the current governance, over 770m euros in revenues have been added to the state budget, while the economy is 2.1 billion euros worth.
Tax revenues have increased by about 2/3, while Foreign Direct Investments have doubled. The trend in Foreign Direct Investment growth has continued this year. According to Central Bank of Kosovo data, for the January-May 2023 period we have 20.7% more investments than in the same period last year”, he has said further.
The prime minister has said that this economic growth, his government has shared it with citizens by redistributing it to total 842m euros through various civic support measures and business incentives, and without creating new debts.
