It has already been two weeks since EU High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security Josep Borrell has confirmed the September 14th meeting between Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq in Brussels

On the other hand, European Union envoy for dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia Miroslav Lajcak has said he is working towards “positive results” in the dialogue process.

Lajcak said on Sunday through a Facebook post that last week was filled with prepared work on the meeting in Brussels, where Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, will meet.

“Preparations for the summit of high-level dialogue on September 14th are at full speed and we are working towards positive results”, he wrote.

And before the September 14th meeting, the opposition had asked the prime minister to report to the Assembly. They have even indicated that they do not expect concrete results from this meeting.

AAK GP chief Besnik Tahiri has said he does not expect any agreement, since Kosovo is also sanctioned by the EU.

I don't expect any agreement and I don't expect any walking away because the dynamics that Kosovo has today are very problematic. Kosovo is under sanctions, Kosovo is sanctioned by the European Union and I do not expect any issue that helps strengthen Kosovo on the domestic and also external level”, said Besnik Tahiri chief of the AAK's GP.

While LDK deputy Rzazarta Krasniqi has said this meeting should be held at all without the agreements that have been reached so far.

“I expect Prime Minister Kurti to come and report to the Kosovo Assembly, before meeting with Vuciqi and it is good not to hold other meetings that the agreements Kurti has made, such as that of Bratislava”, must be implemented. “From this appointment I do not expect anything new because all the agreements made in his time have not yet been implemented. It's an energy deal, it's an agreement for the missing where you've seen nothing happening, say she.

For the 14 September meeting, he spoke at NATO headquarters, even Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani. Osmani has said there is a long list of agreements Serbia has implemented, while adding that Kosovo's expectations are now to have an equal approach from the European Union, since such an approach is a prerequisite for the success of dialogue.

Kosovo's president has said there have been moments when there has been no equal approach and has said she calls on allies to provide balance in the process so that there are sustainable results contributing to the stability of the region.

The next meeting will take place on September 14th. Unfortunately, the list of agreements unpublished by Serbia is too long. Our expectations are now that there will be an equal approach. An equal approach from the EU is a prerequisite for the success of the process. It's been a long time since we've seen this balance, so I call on the Allies to ensure this balance, if we want to see sustainable results contributing to stability in the region”, President Osmani said.

German Ambassador to Kosovo Jorn Rohde, who said this meeting comes at a critical moment, spoke yesterday.

Rohde has said it is necessary for both sides to engage in the deespassing of the situation in the north.

In addition, he wrote that the Ohrid Agreement should be implemented now, and that the most toy-playing resort, as it is time to act for the benefit of all.

The September 14th Summit “comes at a critical moment. We need the full commitment of both sides to de-progression, mediated dialogue by and participating democracy. The Ohrid Agreement must be implemented TANI. No more playbacks. Remove obstacles to progress. Time to act for the benefit of all”, the German ambassador said.

Prime Minister Kurti and President Vuciq met on May 2nd for the last time, several days after the elections in four northern municipalities, which were boycotted by local Serbs.
