Serbian Danas writes he has ended without success the meeting between Kurti and Vuciqi in Brussels.
Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, said talks with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti ended without success “in the sense of finding a clear path towards normalising relations”.
We all have our proposals, Albanians have their own, we have our own. In the end, we as Serbia have accepted the EU compromise proposal. Kurt didn't want to admit it. The meeting has ended”, Vuciq told reporters.
It is clear that Kurti, simply, avoids forming the Serbian [most] municipalities. That's the essence of everything. Serbia does not flee its” obligations, he added.
The two leaders met Thursday in Brussels for the first time after more than four months.
Kurti and Vuciq held previously separate meetings with the process mediators, European Union foreign policy chief Josep Borrell, and EU envoy for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue Miroslav Lajcak.
We'll see if they're ready to take responsibility” today, wrote Borrell on platform X, known earlier as Twitter.
