Berisha from BKS: Over 35m euros in damages paid for only 6 months

The Kosovo Bureau of Insurance has released the 6-month report, which shows that during January, June 2023 insurance companies, as well as the Kosovar Security Bureau on behalf of damaged parties, have paid 35.6m euros, down from 27.8 during the same period of the year.

Compared to the percentage, the payment of damages during January-June 2023 with the same period of the previous year has increased to more than 28 %

Record damage pay for damaged parties has occurred during the first 6 months of this year by insurance companies, but also from the Kosovar Security Bureau (BKS).

In recent years, both the treatment of damage and the compensation for it is under way in a record term.

According to official data from the Kosovo Central Bank, it is seen that only during this period have been paid nothing less than 35.6m euros -- up from 27.8m euros during the same period of the year. Compared to the percentage, the payment of damages during the January-June 2023 period with the same period in the preliminary year has increased to more than 28 %.

Valon Berisha, financial director at the Kosovo Security Bureau (BKS) points to i IF YOU are paying damages, IF you pay them in the short term. Furthermore, director Berisha has indicated that never before, both the treatment of damages and compensation is getting too fast.

This is also happening in security companies, where treatment and compensation are fast approaching. Every day, the number of countries going to court by disgruntled parties is dropping to a large extent”, director Berisha has said further.

Paying for the Last Four Years

Always based on official data from the Kosovo Central Bank, it is seen that by June of this year, insurance companies, as well as BKS, in the name of paying damages to damaged parties, have paid nothing less than 35.6m euros, down from 27.8 euros in the same period of the year.

Also, always based on official data, it is seen that during the January-June period of 2021 on behalf of damages, 21.6m euros have been paid, until the January-June 2020 period on behalf of damages to damaged parties have paid 21m euros.
