The Court of Appeals has turned the case of violations against 11 years into retrial and re-establishment after the Constitutional Court in Pristina on February 24, 2023, had sentenced them to 40 years in prison (with), four E.R. indictees, J.S., G.R., and G.J., while the United States had been acquitted.
The news has made it known to “Justice Vow”, Pristina Foundation Court spokeswoman Mirlinda Gashi, who confirmed that the initial review is scheduled on 22 September 2023.
Referenced to your request for information, we inform you that the case in question has become retrial by the Court of Appeals of Kosovo. Otherwise, the Constitutional Court in Pristina in January this year had rejected the indictment against five indictees over the 11-year violation in August 2022. However, Appeals had approved as based on the Constitutional Prosecutor's request in Pristina, cancelling the foundation decision and turning the case into restoration.
Also, the Foundation had dismissed the indictment against the three accused of 11-year-old violation in June 2022.
Otherwise, Pristina Foundation Prosecutor, the Department for Mitur, after conducting their investigations and expansion, collecting and analyzing evidence, on December 8, 2022, had filed charges against five people: E.R. and U.K., as well as three minors: G.R., G.J., J.S., charged with involvement in the case that occurred in August 2022, to 11-year-old.
