Bundestag MP for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue: We will keep balanced access, agreements fulfilled

When it comes to relations with Kosovo, Bystron has stressed that the AfD will take a more balanced approach that would ensure the fulfillment of all international obligations.

As for Belgrade, he says relations with Serbia should be established on a solid basis that reflects common interests.

At the same time, this could also mean increased economic and diplomatic co-operation, as well as support for Serbia in dialogue with Kosovo.

Asked how to assess the current policy towards Serbia and Kosovo, which is largely led by the Green Party, Minister Annalena Bayerbock, Bystron also noted ideological bias and fanaticism.

The Green Policy “is unilateral, based on ideology. Their attitude ignored the complex reality in the region and did not take Germany's long-term interests into account. A new position is needed. We would seek a substantial new consideration of our policy towards Serbia and Kosovo, based on justice, realisation and protection of our national interests”, Bystron underlined about Kosovo-Online.

Asked whether Germany is unilateral, he has responded positively, stressing that German politics has shown bias that needs to be corrected.

“We need a balanced approach that takes into account the interests and concerns of all parties involved,” points out, noting that Germany should play an active role in the region to promote dialogue and co-operation, not taking sides.
