Stoltenberg ready to meet with Vuchchi: We are concerned about tensions in Kosovo

Secretary - General NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, in a brief press proposal before the start of the two-day North Atlantic Alliance summit in Vilnius, Lithuania, has reiterated concern for the situation in northern Kosovo, which remains tense since May 26th of this year, when the Kosovo government made a decision to [...]
“We call on Kosovo and Serbia to decode the situation and avoid any kind of step that could contribute to increasing tensions in this part of the country”, he said initially.
Due to instability, violence and increasing tensions, Stoltenberg added among other things that NATO, through its mission in Kosovo, KFOR has increased its presence in Kosovo by delocation of additional troops.
“NATO is present in Kosovo, we have KFOR troops where they are maintaining security and stability for Kosovars and other ethnicities living there”, he added.
Stoltenberg, has said he is ready to meet with Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, as he called for the extension of the situation in northern Kosovo.
Serbian President Vuciq has said 6 July that he will request a meeting with Stoltenberg after the NATO summit in Vilnius, and then, an emergency session of the UN Security Council (OKB) because of the situation in Kosovo.
I am in constant contact with [Serbia's president Aleksandar] Boy and I'm definitely ready to meet. We are concerned about increasing tensions in Kosovo and call on all parties to contribute [to the situation] and refrain from any action that could further escalate the situation in the region”, Stoltenberg said.
