The Commission for European Integration has held a meeting Wednesday with European Union Ambassador to Kosovo Thomas Szunyog. The discussion was the sanctions imposed by the European Union on Kosovo.
And after the meeting, Ambassador Szunyog has said MPs have clarified the position of the EU and the measures taken. He even said he asked you to work together so that the measures could be returned and business returned.
He added that MPs have received assurances that the situation in the north will be worked on.
We had a good discussion of the situation in the country and bilateral relations between Kosovo and the EU. The main issue was that I shared our view of the situation in the north but also about our relationships. As I realized, all members of the Commission are willing to work on resolving the current situation and the crisis that has been created. I explained our position and measures. I asked them to work to reverse these measures and return to business, as before”, he said.
While the Commission's chairman, Rzazarta Krasniqi, said the ambassador has announced the measures that have been taken by the EU. She added that the measures include suspending EU funds and suspending Kosovo from the SAA.
<x0.> After June 30th that sanctions were set up against Kosovo, I have invited the European Union's Ambassador to Kosovo, Thomas Szunyog, and he only showed those measures which were undertaken by the EU for Kosovo, that is, the suspension of Kosovo by the SAA, suspension of EU funds and the suspension of bilateral meetings and other high meetings”, she said, as she criticised the institutions's address for lack of information.
My concern is that we have no information, so we have to invite the ambassador regarding these measures the European Union has taken because we have no detailed information but only as news because the government has kept what was sent to us, June 22nd, and today the ambassador told us about the measures that were taken”, she said. / EO
