Abbott has written that intimidation and threats against those who want to contribute to their country are unacceptable.
“I fully share these concerns. It is important that Kosovo police reflect Kosovo's diversity and be able to serve all communities. Fears and threats to those who want to contribute to their state are unacceptable”, he wrote.
72 new police officers from the ranks of non-US communities have started working earlier this week in the country's north.
45 of these policemen are from the Serb community. But only recently after the start of the task, a lynching campaign by Serbian social networking users launched against them.
