In the <x0-meratonic war” for the bronze, which lasted more than 10 minutes, Krasniqi was unfortunate, being defeated by two-time Olympic medalist Odette Giuffrieda, category -52kg.
Besides Distria Krasniqi, other Kosovo contestants, such as Akil Gjakova and Nora Gjakova, have failed to provide medals so far.
Kosovo's Judo coach, Driton Kuka, has also reacted to this through a post in his Facebook account.
Kuka wrote that Distria Krasniqi was denied the medal, but he added that Kosovo showed its potential as never before, with five contestants ending up in the World's top 10.
