In the first 11 days of April alone, some 5.4m euros of electricity has been imported. The decline in temperatures and inadequacy in the coverage of consumption by local production has influenced electricity to be imported to this value.
Within these dates local production has not covered all the need for consumption, while the highest point I recorded in this period has reached 1100 MWh. Consequently, import has been necessary to cover this gap between consumption and production.
“MWh, or 810 megawatts per hour, while the price at the international bell is over 130 euros per megawatt/h.
Under these circumstances what is important for the entire system is the continuation of energy savings. So all the separate advice on how to save electricity should be part of our everydayity, especially in such periods when the effects of the global energy crisis have seriously affected the entire electromagnetic system”, KESCO reported.
Despite all the roadblocks, KESCO says it will always do its best to have stable and sustainable supplies for consumers. /Periksopi/
