President Osmani's cabinet chief, Blerim Vela, has reacted to Serbia's foreign minister, Ivica Dacic, after his statements concerning Kosovo's membership at the Council of Europe.
Daciq said today that he cannot travel to Strasbourg on the occasion of Serbia's 20th anniversary of its accession to the Council of Europe because of reports that the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers will begin procedure and discussion on Kosovo's accession to that organisation on the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Brussels Agreement.
“What message is this? It is a humiliation and a message that Kosovo can do whatever it wants. If these reports are true, of course I will not go to Strasbourg” tomorrow, Dacic said at a joint press conference with Gabon's delegated foreign minister, Yolanda Nijonde, and added that “something that is not a state has never been accepted in the Council of Europe. ”
He stressed that it is impossible to defend Ukraine's territorial integrity on the one hand and destroy Serbia's territorial integrity on the other.
Vela reacted by calling the Serbian foreign ministry “palaco” and reminded that Brussels' agreements are in line with allowing Kosovo to apply to organisations like the EC.
“A reminder of Serbia's MPJ clown that Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe is fully in line with agreements:
Brussels 2013: point 14
Brussels 2023: point 4
If Serbia votes against Kosovo membership in the Council of Europe, it will be in clear opposition to the cited agreements!
