Kurti “frightened” for the other four laws that are in the Constitutional Court

Five Kurti Government laws have been completed so far in the Constitutional Court. The last one is for the Salaries in the Public Sector. For one of these laws, the Court has already ruled, declaring him worthless. It is the Law for the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, which Justice Minister Albulen Haxhiu said [...]

The law, which would regulate the salaries of over 80 thousand public sector employees, has been sent to the Constitutional Court for assessment of constitutionality, two months after entering into force.

The ombudsman addressed the Constitution regarding the Law on Salat in the Public Sector, following 104 complaints he accepted about him, most of which were about reducing wages, removing additions or inadequate treatment among the positions stipulated by law.

By this law, the number of laws of Kurti Government, which have been completed in the Constitution, has so far gone to five. The Constitutional Court has shown the Express what these laws are.

The first law of this government to be sent to this court is that of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council. The requirements for assessing the constitutionality of this law were made by the Democratic Party of Kosovo and the Democratic League of Kosovo.

This Law, for which Justice Minister Albulen Haxhiu said it would pave the way for deep reforms in the eyes of justice, has been toppled by the Constitution.

Some provisions of this law are estimated to be at odds with the Kosovo Constitution. Under the trial, the law conflicts with provisions of the Constitution for the form of governance and power sharing, the competencies of the Parliament, the role of the Pulululli Lawyer, equality before the law and Article for the Prosecutorial Council.

Rather, the controversial law was deemed to conflict with the country's Constitution initially in the matter of competence that gives the ombudsman to elect one of the non-prosecutors of the KP.

The verdict clarified that neither the established way of decision making the Council under the controversial Law is compatible with the constitution. It varied the KPK's decision-making with the political will of most MPs in the Assembly, as they determined they would simply elect the non-prosecutive members of this institution.

The Constitutional Law has also completed the Law on Competent Base Products at Special Trade Destabilisation Cases. Plotting the motion are 10 deputies of the Democratic League of Kosovo.

The opposition has also sent the Law for Public Officials to Constitution. For this law, the request has also been made by the PDK and PDK.

“KO216/22 and KO220/22 requests have joined and treated as such by the Court;”, have stated by the Constitution.

The Democratic Party of Kosovo has also turned to the Constitutional Court for the State Bureau for Verification and Confiscating Unjustified Riches.

This party has voiced confidence that the Constitution will annul the entire law by declaring it invalid and unconstitutional.

You know, other laws are going to come down when you're worried.

Concerned that these laws are ending in the Constitutional Court, Prime Minister Albin Kurti has said.

According to him, the opposition is sending these laws to preserve constitutionality.

“I'm very worried because I'm in trouble that our multi-pronged reforms have found a kind of fuse to crawl, to delay, and in this way I'm not convinced that it's done by the motive of maintaining constitutionality, how much of a political opposition”, Kurti has declared.

Kurti has said he is concerned about the decisions to come, given him the Law on the KKP.

I am very sorry that the Law on Temporary Measures, for limiting the prices of basic products, is in the Constitutional Court. The LDK has sent this law to the tribunal. And if there's something that actually as prime minister I'm the most concerned about the governance we have, these are the three remaining laws in the Constitutional Court that are procrastinating and that I'm very concerned about the decisions that will come in view of this for KKP”, Kurti said.

“How do I know that it will fall from the Constitutional Court a law that has twice passed the Venice Commission, which has agreed with the US, the EU, Britain, with all civil society acts, and is not enough the Venice Commission, but comes and collapses here at our Constitutional Court”, Kurti has declared.
