Von der Leyen hopes both sides “grasp the moment” in dialogue and be constructive in the upcoming talks.
She has discussed dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, as well as American President Joseph Biden and the question of how important the process of enlargement and stability of Europe is for Belgrade and Pristina to normalise relations, as well as what the consequences will be.
According to her, when it comes to normalising relations between Belgrade and Pristina, there is a European plan and that plan is on the table.
I think that now is a real opportunity for both sides to take advantage of the moment. The normalisation is of great importance, crucial to the stability, security and prosperity of the region. “I really hope both sides will be very constructive in the following talks”, she stressed.
