Shkelzen Maliqi for Periscope: Part of European Plan Could Be Signed in Ohrid

The renowned publicist and opinionist Shkelzen Maliqi says it is likely that the Franco-German (European plan) will be signed on March 18th in Ohrid, between Kurti and Vucinqi. He told Periscop that this could happen, since according to the EU, there is a plan of sanctions against the country /the side that would reject its signing. [...]
Then the European Union demands that in Ohrid at least there is a solemnity that was not then in Brussels on February 27th when it was the meeting. Because then they sought oral reconciliation, not the signature of both sides. I think it's likely to be signed, but with these variables eventually if it doesn't sign Vucinic all those articles that make it difficult for it in Serbia”, it says. Male for Periscope.
“be found something like that, but the process will continue. It means some kind of signing will also have Vuciqi because, otherwise, the EU plans and also has a programme of sanctions. That's why Kurt looked much more pragmatic, a few months ago, not listening to even foreign diplomats and giving themselves some sovereign measures, which were actually contradictory, only to anger Kosovo Serbs who caused security crises. And really with this deal we simply top a whole new situation where the integration of Serbs as minorities should become more structured I believe”, he goes on, Periscope.
Shkelzen Maliqi says by himPart of the Franco-German plan will be signed.
“I think that international factors are unique in the sight of and are convinced that the agreement would have to be signed, but because of the problems Vuciqi particularly has in Serbia and Kurti has with some of her provisions still holding them as possible remarks as possible blockades. There are also skeptics who are saying that no agreement will be signed, but maybe some substitute, meaning a replacement. What Lajcak said a few days ago, that even if all the obligations of that implementation plan are not signed, at least part will be signed. Maybe two, three points can be left for a discussion of”, he told Periscope.
We remember that EU special envoy for dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia Miroslav Lajcak has confirmed that an important part of the agreement is the establishment of association.
“We know it agreed in 2013, but it didn't happen. This time it must happen, given what was agreed on in 2013 - 2015. We proposed 15 existing European models as inspiration. Not as alternatives. Perhaps the 2013 or 2015 agreements will not answer all questions. I want us to seek inspiration from functional European models”, the EU's special envoy for dialogue has said.
While US special envoy for the Western Balkans Gabriel Escobar, reports Danas, has said that from Saturday's meeting between Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq is not expected to sign, but an agreement is required on how to move forward./Periscopi
