The news has confirmed for “Justice Vow“, the spokeswoman for this court, Mirlinda Gashi.
“The Special Department has approved the Special Prosecutor's request of the Republic of Kosovo for continuing the housekeeping action against defendants D. P, so that the house rights measure has continued for 2 (two) months, until 09.05.202318x1>, Gashi's announcement said.
Pantic allegedly carried out criminal work “The chairmanship of the terrorist work in co-ordination” by Article 129, paragraph 1 related to Article 128, paragraph 1, subparagraph 1.7 related to Article 31 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
Otherwise, on December 28, 2022, the Constitutional Court in Pristina replaced the suspect's detention measure with house arrest.
Later, the PSRK announced that the measure was changed based on health and at the same time on human health.
“After visits by EULEX medical teams, who have ascertained poor health conditions for the defendant, they have recommended treatment at a hospital centre, however, even this recommendation was not realised. Kosovo's Special Prosecutor, based on health and also the human aspect, has proposed to the Constitutional Court in Pristina, the replacement of the detention measure for the Pantiq defendant, as the same was indisposure to the rights belonging to the detained at the” detention centres, the statement said.
On December 12th 2022, the Constitutional Court in Pristina appointed a month of detention against former Serbian police officer Dejan Pantic, suspected of carrying out the criminal act of terrorism, while on January 5, 2023, the move was continued for two months.
Pantic had been arrested on December 10th 2022 at the Jarinje border crossing, while his arrest had prompted reactions from the Serbian side, which followed the settlement of barricades at border points.
